As the Creative Director for the 2022 Soirees Rouges Festival, a mostly French Baroque music event held in London's St Giles Church and Arcola Outside, I was tasked with designing the festival's promotional materials. Inspired by the festival's name, which translates to "Red Nights" in French, I chose to incorporate a bold and striking hue of red throughout all of the flyers and other promotional materials.

My goal was to create eye-catching and dynamic visuals that would capture the attention of potential attendees. As the festival was intended to feature a more provocative approach to Baroque music with young and innovative performers, I wanted the promotional materials to reflect that energy and excitement.

The promotional image I designed for the Soirees Rouges Festival resembles a red rose that is seen through the ripples of pure, colorless water. This visual metaphor perfectly captures the essence of the festival's concept, particularly its translation to "Red Nights" in French. The bold red hue of the rose represents the passionate and provocative nature of the Baroque music that was featured in the festival, while the water and ripples symbolize the young and innovative performers who brought their unique interpretations to the classic compositions.
